Raptik is a Swiss photographer and track day rider who asked the motorcycle tuning company No Limit Tuning to build a custom motorcycle for him, which consists largely of carbon.
The base model of this project is a 2017 Suzuki GSX-R 1000 R (L7). The conversion measures not only have an impact on the appearance of the Gixxer. Also, the performance of the carbon Gixxer should have been screwed up by the customizers. The weight could be reduced thanks to the numerous carbon parts. The Gixxer from Raptik is expected to weigh 175 kilograms dry. For comparison: in the production version, the Suzuki GSX-R 1000 R weighs 200 kilograms without ABS; with ABS it is 202 kilograms.
The rims are also made of carbon and come from ThyssenKrupp. Akrapovic contributes the exhaust system. The main field of application of the Karbon-Gixxer should undoubtedly be on the racetrack. In addition to the numerous carbon parts, some components of the bike are painted blue, which completes the sporty Suzuki look.
By the way, in 2018 Suzuki Italy had introduced a similar Bike, which was available in a limited quantity. The Suzuki GSX-R 1000 R Ryuyo, which was presented at the time, was even lighter than the Raptik Gixxer with a weight of 168 kilograms, has 212 hp according to the Tuner and was limited to 20 units. Cost: 29.990 Euro. Raptik does not reveal how much the conversion of the carbon Suzuki GSX-R 1000 from Switzerland cost. The current Suzuki GSX-R 1000 R in standard equipment is currently available from 18,990 euros. By the way, the conversion measures have not yet been finalized. According to Raptik a Ceracarbon sprocket, a Carbon intake funnel and a 520 drive chain are missing.
